Te Kawau Toi | Wintec Theatre students present 9-to-5: The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick. Based on the 1980 hit movie, this story of friendship and revenge is a little bit romantic, thought-provoking and a whole lot outrageous.
Pushed to their limits, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical boss. Hilarity ensues as Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest dreams and take control of the company that had always kept them down. With the toe-tapping songs of Dolly Parton and the razor sharp book of Patricia Resnick, 9-to-5 is anything but a typical day at the office!
