Twenty-five years ago the heat became unbearable. In desperation, humanity deployed a planetary shroud that blocked the sun’s heat. It was meant to be temporary, but when the time came to remove it, the darkness could not be undone. Seasons vanished, the natural world withered, and life reshaped itself around artificial light. Now, in a chain superstore called Daylight Savings, three young workers and their manager grind through another endless shift. Everything changes when two intruders arrive with a plan to clear the sky and bring back sunshine.
