SUMMARY:The Bookbinder
DESCRIPTION:They say you can get lost in a good book. But it’s worse getting lost in a bad one… \nAn old man sits down to read the tale of an erstwhile bookbinding apprentice. As he speaks the story spills from the pages and into the bindery. The Bookbinder weaves shadowplay\, paper art\, puppetry\, and music into an original dark fairytale in the vein of Coraline and Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell. \n\nFirst performed in the back room of a secondhand bookshop\, it has gone on tour across Australia\, South Africa\, UK\, Canada\, China\, and USA – from the attic of Aotearoa / New Zealand’s oldest bookbindery to the Lincoln Center\, NYC. Its awards include Best Theatre and Best in the Fringe at NZ Fringe 2014\, the International Excellence Award at Sydney Fringe 2014\, and the Children’s Theatre Award at Fringe World\, Perth in 2015.  From Trick of the Light Theatre comes an inventive one-man performance for older children and adults. \nCheck out the trailer here! \n“A real delight” – The Guardian\, UK \n“Spell-binding storytelling at its purest and best…” – Theatreview\, Dunedin \n“A beautiful\, articulate and engaging show that is as engaging as it is mysterious” ★★★★★ – alledinburghtheatre.com\, Edinburgh  \n\nRunning time: 55 mins \nRecommended for ages 8+ \nPlease note this show has a strict lockout and no latecomers will be allowed entry.

SUMMARY:Guy Williams Live in Hamilton!
DESCRIPTION:*DEAR HAMILTON: There is a 8:45pm show on a Saturday night… dangerous stuff in NZ… please don’t be too pissed lol! In my experience of NZ on Saturday’s\, hammered people struggle to keep up and I have to boot people if they’re being a dick to the other punters. If you are planning on having a big night Saturday night maybe consider the Sunday 6pm show\, or going to aa. Thanks\, Guy.* \nGuy Williams returns for the first time in ages with his new show: \n“Rich People Are Stealing From You And Blaming Brown People And Trans People And Some People Believe Them Aaahhhhhh!” \nProbably shouldn’t have given it all away in the title. Like most people I’ve been trying to figure out how the worst dickheads have taken over everything with their insane bullshit. So I’ve read three books (mostly) (one was a graphic novel) and listened to five audio books (AT NORMAL SPEED) to try and figure out WHAT THE F**K IS GOING ON? \nCredits to impress my mum:\nNew Zealand Today\nTaskmaster NZ\nGuy Montgomery’s GuyMont Spelling Bee \n★★★★ – The Age\n★★★★ – Chortle\n★★★★ – The Skinny\n“Riotously entertaining!” ★★★★ The Student UK\n“If you want to spend an hour laughing out your worries and frustrations\, I can’t think of a better way to do it.” squirrelcomedy.com \n
