Deeply Unprofessional

Saturday, 2nd March, 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Nic Kyle, the star of Kinky Boots, Music Man, Shrek and Jesus Christ Superstar brings his critically acclaimed solo show to the Hamilton Arts Festival in partnership with The Meteor for one night only!

Described as New Zealand’s leading man, Nic has performed all over the world from London’s Westend to Germany, Canada and Australia.

He has toured with Westend & Broadway superstar Elaine Paige and won the “Top Male Artist of the Year” award at the Variety Arts Club of New Zealand Benny Awards ’23.

Accompanied by the incredible Zac Johns (Kinky Boots, Evita) Nic gives a peek behind the curtain into the world of professional theatre…

Awful auditions, terrible jobs and everything in between.

With music from Les Miserables, Hamilton, Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Producers and more!

Here’s what the critics have said –

“…He is absolutely made for musical theatre, in that he has one of the most impressive singing voices around but is also deftly adept at extracting maximum emotional impact out of each lyric…” – Backstage, Christchurch

“…Featuring some incredible songs, some absolutely cringeworthy anecdotes, and a whole lot of heart, this show is a must see for those who love musical theatre…” – Backstage, Christchurch

“…Nic Kyle is a brilliant leading man full of all the charm, charisma and cheekiness needed for Harold Hill… Vocally he was pitch-perfect…”  – Theatreview, The Music Man, Auckland

“…Nic Kyle was ridiculously good. Giving Elaine Paige a moment to change costumes, Kyle completely astounded us all with his rich tone, gigantic range, and accomplished performance…” – Theatre Press, Melbourne
