After a successful run at Circa Theatre as a part of the 2020 NZ Fringe Festival, Sorry For Your Loss is back at The Meteor for a one-night-only engagement as part of the REIGNITE: THE METEOR project!
Written and performed by exciting up-and-coming artist, Cian Gardner, it is a fresh new take on the everlasting journey of figuring out who you are, and explores the effects of having a sometimes-there-mostly-not Dad.
Cian occupies the stage as multiple characters, her mother, her father, herself in the past and present. In this story about the strength of a woman; and the gift of strength from one woman to another.
A raw and real performance, Sorry For Your Loss sees Gardner opens up to audiences and expose something she never thought she needed to revisit.
Cian has teamed up with theatre director and dramaturg Laura Haughey, who brings her unique physical approach to the storytelling in this original, devised piece of work. Live music will accompany the performance by Andy Duggan.
“A lovely little pearl of a production.” – Theatreview
“…moving, deftly told” – stuff.co.nz
“…with a wonderfully light touch, Gardner finds her way into our hearts with both her words and her performance.” – Victor Rodger
