How We Got Happy is holding a book launch and exhibition evening at 6-8pm on the 8th of April at The Meteor’s Nancy Caiger Gallery, with the exhibition continuing through to early May.
How We Happy is launching a hardcover coffee table book with stories of health, hope and happiness from 20 young Kiwis who beat depression. In conjunction with the book launch How We Got Happy is exhibiting Waikato based photographer Mark Hamilton’s portrait photography from the book. His powerful photographs will be enlarged around the gallery to captivate the viewers and show them how we are approaching the topic of depression front on, in an open, positive way. This book is not a ‘how-to guide’ but rather, shares constructive wellness tools that these 20 young Kiwis used to get and stay well, in the hope to help and inspire New Zealand’s wellness.
How We Got Happy is a non-profit project with all proceeds from book sales going directly to the Mental Health Foundation NZ.
