Hamtown Smakdown is back for it’s 17th year in a row and will be bringing you two nights with some of Aotearoa’s best bands from all over the punk spectrum. As always this little DIY festival will be all-ages, drug and alcohol free- there will be stalls, food and good vibes.
In the first line-up announcement, Kirikiriroa’s own fast and heavy veterans Spiteful Urinator will be taking the stage at Smakdown- a must see for anyone who wants to experience 5 cups of morning coffee in the form of an energetic and in-your-face (in the good way!) musical performance.
We’ve also got the bringers of fun-times blowing up from Wellington in the form of Unsanitary Napkin and Stress Ghetto.
The Aucklanders are, of course, coming down to show off the likes of Long Distance Runner (ex Sere, Parents), the return of the infamous Old Loaves and the intense fast punk of the Slug Hugger wahine, who never fail to get people moving.
More bands to be announced soon! In the meantime, break-in your new shoes, do your stretches, stay hydrated and get ready for a ruckus weekend of fast and heavy homegrown tunes!
Please Note: If you are purchasing a ticket as a parent/guardian of children we would appreciate if you state this in ‘ADDITIONAL INFORMATION’ field at the checkout (though this is not a requirement).
Under 13 year olds are free with a parent/guardian.
